Support NC House Bill H1125

A bill that requires all applicants for a NC Driver's License

to sign a "I will not litter" pledge

NC House Bill 1125, recently introduced by Representative Robert Grady requires that every applicant for a North Carolina driver's license sign a pledge to not litter. It also requires that the pledge be shown on the license above the applicant's signature. These are both powerful reminders to our citizens that along with our privilege to drive we have an obligation to be caring stewards of our surroundings.

The STOP the Litter! team encourages you to contact your NC representative to support this bill. If you wish to write, we are offering a sample letter you can use directly or customize if you wish.

One is a letter to the NC Representative Gene Wilson who represents Watauga County. It is available as an MS Word file that can be downloaded and used as is or customized or as a PDF that can be downloaded and used as is.

The other is a MS Word that is generic in that the representative and county are not specified so that someone living in another county can insert the name of their representative and county as well as customize it in any other way they see fit.

For the version in Adobe PDF Format, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download it by clicking the "Get Adobe Reader" icon below.
