Summit Purpose

• Give agencies and organizations addressing Conservation issues an opportunity to come together and share their ideas, concerns and activities.
• Share experiences and information with the hope of creating an area wide knowledge base of Conservation activities and issues.
• Promote partnerships between Conservation organizations and agencies to increase their overall effectiveness.
• To move area Conservation efforts forward with collective knowledge and understanding.
• Assemble and distribute current High Country Conservation information.

Keynote Speaker

Lenny Kohm, a resident of Todd, NC for many years, is the Conservation Director for Appalachian Voices, a regional environmental organization based in Boone. Lenny has been active in protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge since 1987. He and his slide show "The Last Great Wilderness" have been touring the US for the past 14 years.
